The Farmer in the dell...

Everyone is cruisen around and enjoying the sunshine today. We have a perfect breeze coming through. Right now Bella and Pepito are lounging under the camper shell (I guess that is what is was), and Gizmo, Bamboo, and Cody are romping around. Spinkles and Buttons are doing their own thing. You know when everyone is content when there is hardly a bark heard. Although, just like kids, you have to keep checking cause silence can also mean mischief. But, it is all good.

Thought we would share a couple pics of our pets. We put a shirt on our Piggie, Tiffany. Her outfit came with overalls, but she wasn't into letting us put those on her...so we put them on our dog Lily. She kinda had the look of "OH brother, what are you doing to me now". =0) But they are soooo cute!

It was a "Beary" sad day for Bella

Yes, Bella was sad to see her favorite playmate leave today. Bear was a very good boy. Once Barry took Bear (tee hee) to the airport to pick up his owner, Gordy, Bella was sad. She laid in the corner of the play yard and shed a tear. We got the group together so everyone could play and cheer her up, and it worked for a bit, but you could tell she missed her "Beary" good buddy.

Finally Cody got in on the action and played a bit. I think he knew Bella needed some extra doggy love today.

Gizmo, likes to romp in the water toughs. Wait until Kiko Kiko gets here on Monday. I think we should go get that pool soon, cause I think it might end up like a doggy pool party.

This week we added a Porta "Pawty" to accommodate our guests owners after the drive up here.

We said goodbye to the 3 musketeers

Yesterday we had to say good bye to our little guests, Sasha, Princess, and Akamura. They were super fun, and Pepito loved hanging out with them. It was their first time having their own vacation. We did sneak and let them sleep with us inside...it was hard to resist.
Today we got a new guest "Gizmo". He is a lot of fun, super cute, and plays with Pepito. So Pepito got another play guest. Bear and Bella are still exclusive buddies. Then we have Sprinkles and Buttons, who are best buddies. Buttons plays with Pepito and Bamboo sometimes. Cody and Bamboo are buddies too. Cody just likes to hang around and watch everyone run like crazy. He is a big Teddy Bear.

Bath Day!

Today was bath day for a couple dogs...and our Lily. Bella got a bath, and so did Nani. Today Nani is going home. I know she misses her mom, but we know she had a really fun time here with us. She loved the bath. It makes it fun when the doggies love a bath. Bella loves the bath too. But, she is so big that when she shakes it off...you get a bath too. So, I let Barry give her the bath.
Tomorrow will be Bear and Pepito's turn. Hee hee

More fun moments

So here are some fun moments from todays play. I love when I can catch up and post pic's. Barry was having fun with the little guys. Pepito is so happy to have someone his own size to play with. Bamboo has been having fun too.

Today we got three more little ones, so Pepito and Bamboo are super happy. Now they have a "fun Pack". I think the big dogs are jealous.

But Bella and Bear, continue to wrestle, romp, and play through out the day. They have been non stop since Bear got here. It was a magical reunion.

Yeah for calmness and sunshine!

What a day yesterday was. IT was blowing like crazy. Today is sunny and all the doggies are enjoying it. I didn't have my camera ready, and by the time I got it...it was too late. It was too late to capture Sprinkles in the water bin. It was cute though.

But here are some pics of some of our guests.

Nani Nani.....then there is Ol' Cody....and Mr. Pepito....
More photos to come.

Toto we're not in Kansas anymore!

Sorry everyone about not getting more pic's up, but it has been windy like crazy up here. So, it makes it hard to keep our furry guests attention to take a picture and also keep balanced from the gushes of wind. Sheese!
But, everyone is cruising, napping, hidding, and just relaxing until the winds blow over. Bear came yesterday to join the group and Bella was sooooo happy to see him. They have been playing non stop since he got here. Pepito, doesn't have anything to do with them. He just sits on the sidelines watching. But, we put Pepito in with Bamboo and Fendi (buttons), and they just hang out. It is good as they are all the same size. They mostly are the audience watching the big dogs wrestle with each other. Nani does her own thing and just lies under the tree in the sunlight. Then Cody kinda does the same thing. He doesn't want to be bothered with the younger dogs. Cody has been getting some good brushings by Barry. He loves that. Sprinkles comes out with Fendi during their alone time as Sprinkles need to learn to play with others. So until then, Sprinkles is stuck playing with us alone. Ho hum! Sprinkles is a good dog though. We will just continue to work with him until he feel safe around other doggies, and the other doggies are safe around him.
But, so far so good. We are fortunate to have another great group of dogs. They are well behaved and listen. It really hasn't been that "rough" . lol.
Hope all of our guest owners are having as much fun as their poochies are.
If the wind dies down later this afternoon, I will get some pic's up. Otherwise, I will try for the morning.

Kodak moments

Okay, I have some photos of our recent guests.

So here we have Nani. (to the left)She is super sweet. She is smiling here. She is about 90% blind, but she has such a good spirit. Her and I have bonded. She seems to really enjoy being here. She perks up when we say her name and out in the yard she likes to play, be petted, roll around, and go through your legs. She is a love.

Then we have "Duke' (to the right) here I photo'd him just chillin' out while I was cleaning out the kennles. You can see is lying on his favorite toy, his purple raccoon. He is more of a people person. But, we have gotten him out there within his comfort zone and with guest that are more mellow like him. He tolerated China. But, China just wanted to go go go and have fun. He hung out a bit with "Buttons" aka "Fendi", and likes to hang out with Nani. Duke is leaving us today. I know he will be happy to see his mom.

Then we have Mimi and Koa. Super fun dogs. They listen well and walk well on the leash. They too have made the ol' camper shell a favorite hang out. They too are pretty mellow. Koa will chase the ball, but no so much return it. He runs to it and then looks at you like, "well come and get it"...funny. They too are going home today. Actually we had them an extra day as their owners stayed an extra day in Wailea. We didn't mind, as we have enjoyed them hanging out with us and our other doggy guests.

Today, we will receive two more guests...Bamboo and Cody. They will be here for about two weeks. Can't wait to see them.

Soon we will be posting here and on the website that we will be having dog training classes
by Todd Wong. He has an extensive dog training history and currently is the Kanine trainer for the Maui Police Department. Keep checking back for more information. If you are interest, please send us an email of what type of dog you have, type of training your are interested in, and where you live.

Aloha!!

China has gone home

Our little cutey China left today. She is so fun to play with and she loves playing with "everyone". She is such a good ice breaker for our doggie guests. We look forward to seeing her again.

It's a "Doggy dog world"

Well, we have a full house and everyone is having a great time. We have a very cute guest that began boarding with us a couple days ago. His name is "Duke". He is certainly well taken care of and loved. He has such a soft coat and fluffy tail. Duke is a little shy, but we are getting him used to being out and playing with the other guests such as "China". China loves to play. Otto was haning out with Duke too, but now since him and Nigel left, we are introducing our other guests to Duke, such as Mimi and Kona. They are two good looking dogs with great temperments. They are here for the weekend so their owners can enjoy and weekend in Wailea. They are from Lahaina.

We also have a very sweet mix breed dog by the name of "Nani". She is 12 years old and needs some extra TLC. She comes to us from Keokea. She was recently diagnosed with Diabetes, and is losing her vision. But, she definitely still has some play in her. She's smiles and loves her neck scratched. She just loves to hang out.

Check back as I will be posting their photos.

China is coming back!

We just got word that China is coming back for a visit. She is the cute Pit we had a couple weeks ago. You know the one who stuck her tongue at me while taking her picture.
Anyhoo, we will do a meet and pick again with her owners. We are happy that our services are able to accomodate the needs of our Island Pet owners.

China will have lots of fun, as there will be more doggies to play with during this visit. She will have Sprinkles, Buttons, Otto, Nigel, and Stormy. OH no wait, Stormy is leaving us tomorrow...booo!

We had to say goodbye to Karla and Mauka

Yesterday we took Karla and Mauka to the airport to pick up their owner and take them all back home to Kihei. They were only with us for a short time, but we really enjoyed having them. Mauka was a cutie and definitely looked after Karla. Karla was a beautiful hound that is grey with beautiful grey eyes as well. I missed my opportunities to take their pictures. We were too pre occupied with playing with all of the dogs. We also had my nephews over, who enjoyed all of our boarders.

But, we still have Sprinkes and Buttons (aka Fendi). Sprinkles has calmed down and is now enjoying his stay here. Look at Buttons trying to be ferocious. But we know the truth. LOL.

Full of fullness!

We are pretty excited that the word is carrying on out there, and people really enjoy the homelike environment we are providing. We are pretty much booked for the summer and now taking reservations for September. Stormy is still here and super crazy excited there are more dogs to play with. Our newest guests are Sprinkles and Buttons, and also Mauka and Karla. I will get close up photos over the weekend of our guest to show. They are all very handsome dogs. Buttons is a little Cha wow wow mix. She is super cute. She has an under bite, and loves to run and jump into my arms. Hmmm should I keep her? When they came, they had some extra friends trying to join them. So, as we convey to our owners...they got dipped. We want to keep our environment free and clear of fleas and ticks. So as a reminder...please make sure your pets are treated before they board with us, as it will save you some moola.
We added one more smaller out door run, and we added one more smaller kennel to the bed and breakfast area...as well as a tv for our guests viewing pleasure. They seem to really enjoy it.

We are really having alot of fun with this group of guests. Oh by the way, Tiffany says hello...Oink Oink!!

Stormy, Otto, Nigel, and Turtle?

Our little pointer "Stormy" got a couple more playmates today, Otto and Nigel. They are both male dogs and much bigger than Stormy is. But, she was happy anyways to have some new doggies "in the house". Otto is a beautiful German Shephard with one floppy ear, and Nigel is a lab mix. He is such a goofy boy. Otto and Nigel will be here for 9 days. They are from Kihei, but their owners are relocating back to the mainland as their owner is a Marine and is being relocated. Hooorrra!! Otto and Stormy get along the best. Otto and Nigel are very much enjoying the cooler weather we have up here.
OH! and our other new addition. The green turtle. Thought our doggy guests would like a cool place to play in. Of course, Otto and Nigel are too big...so they use it as a secondary drinking pool. Wait until Kiko comes back. He will go straight in there and just lay around in the pool. I think we will look for a larger one for our bigger guests.
