Today we had a new arrival, Palu. He is a mix breed. He is a good size dog. I put him out to go play, and he bonded right away with Kanu. I am happy about that, as they have the same energy level. Kanu is like the energizer bunny and the others can't keep up. But, Palu can. They have been running around like crazy. Here is a little clip. I wish it was longer, but it seems as though I can't put up clips that are too long. But, I have to watch out when I am in the run during playtime when they are running around as they just go and don't pay attention, and I get barreled over. ...and that's alot of dog when they are at full speed.
Doggie Kennels. Currently operation our Doggie Bed and Breakfast section. We also offer drop and pick up of your pet as well as our popular service of park and shuttle. Large area for the dogs to run and play. We stay small so that we can be able to give the attention your dog deserves while you are away.

Dogs dogs dogs
Sorry everyone, for a delayed entry. For some reason I haven't been able to upload anything on our sight.
Anyhoo, we were sad to see Reagan leave yesterday. We know she had a very good time. She came white, turned a little brown, but went home white again. She had a lot of fun playing with all the dogs, even bigger than her. She loved Buddy, even if he was bigger than her.

Yesterday we got a few new dogs. We got Kanu, a handsome Boxer who will be with us for awhile, and another Koa with Barron. Koa is also a boxer, but a she boxer. Kanu and her j
ust hit it off. I was telling Barry it was like an Alien coming in and was super happy that there was another of their kind when they met. It was pretty funny. OR maybe it was just love at first sight. Koa is a brindle boxer, and Kanu is a handsome brown boxer. We can't leave out Ole, Barron. This fella is about 12 years old. He is having such a great time. He has been playing with all the dogs as if he was a pup again. He definitely shed alot alot alot. Barron and Koa, are only here for the weekend. Their owners are from Makawao, and decided to go away for the weekend for their 12 year anniversary. It's too bad that it is such a short visit as Kanu absolutely loves Koa.
But, lets not forget our other guests. BUDDY, is still here and is the "Playmate" of the month. LOL. He gets along with everyone and encourages them to play and do tug of war. He is super cool. The original Koa is still here, shorty is what I call him, and he is just having fun being part of the pack and playing. I love to take him on walks or just hang out. He is such a lover. We can't forget Hapa, the youngest of the pack. Hapa just loves to play and is always happy. Hapa is leaving us today...booo. Hapa and Buddy are pals.

Rudy and Ocean left
Now our group of five is to a group of three...at least until tomorrow. We took Rudy home. Before that, Rudy got a bath. He played a lot with everyone and...well got a little dirty. Rudy reminded me of the Ewoks from Starwars. Ocean has also left too. I apologize, I was calling Ocean a he, when he is actually a she. But "SHE" was definitely the kissing bandit here. Buddy misses playing with her. But, Buddy still has his friend Koa here and they love chasing each other. Regan is here as well, and everyday she get more and more into the fun. I think she likes being the only girl now. As I am writing, I can see all three of them running in circles after each other.
I have been meaning to put a little clip up, but I hid my little camera from myself.

The new Brat Pack
As you can see in the picture "Ocean" is kissing "Rudy". Doesn't Rudy have the look of "oooh you have cooties"? Ocean has this thing of kissing all the other dogs right on the mouth. He is the "Ocean lover". =0)
The next picture, is the group all just pal ing around. All of these dogs are very well behaved and all seem to have the same temperment. It is very fun and cool, as there isn't one of them that tries to be the dominating Alpha dog. They all get along very well. (From front to back we have the return of "Koa", then "Regan", Stubby "Buddy" (cuz he has a stubby tail), and "Ocean". You can almost see (towards the front) Rudy poking in. But, they all pack around together.
I will try and get a clip up later today or tomorrow.

Reagan is here
Last night we picked up our newest guest, Reagan. So fluffy and white...so had to make sure I got the photo now. Reagan is already having a blast playing with Ocean. But, don't worry mom and dad, Reagan will be bathed before she goes home. Tomorrow Ocean and Reagan will have a couple other playmates, Buddy from the west side of the island and the return of "KOA"....Hurray! Koa's owners are going to the mainland to get married. They are from Kihei and will be taking advantage of our pick up service this time. Everyone will have a fun few days.

Some fun...and Koa & Mimi are back
Sprinkles and Buttons, is still here...and it has been really fun having them. Especially as they learn to play nice with others. We let Sprinkles have some inside time with us for being such a good boy. He has come such a long way.

Mimi and Koa left
Mimi and Koa left yesterday but will be back again on Friday. They had such a great time as we did with them as well. We are looking forward to seeing them again on Friday. Foxy really enjoyed herself with them. But, Foxy will be leaving us tomorrow. We will miss her. She has come along way with breaking out her shell and learing how to listen very well. We hope to see her again.
We were pretty excited, as yesterday we tested the water with Sprinkles. We let him come out after working with him for quite sometime on socialization without agression. He did very well. He still needs more work, but he definitely will and can be trained properly. Sprinkles and Buttons are on an extended stay for a few more days.
It has been pretty rainy here due to the storm. Thank goodness that it didn't hit us as hard that it could have. But, we were prepared. The doggies are enjoying a lazy day and a movie.
On a quick note regarding Rodman. We are hoping to get some help such as donations to help pay for Rodman's cremation and a gift box. The humane society has told the owner's daughter that she needs $170. If anyone is willing to donate, even a little bit...it would be such a great help. You can either contact me, or contact the Humane Society directly and speak to Dale, to put a donation towards the balance. We have made arrangements with someone who is making a special box at cost for Rodman, Mark Hodges. We are taking care of that part.
Thanks to everyone who has been support of this incident with Rodman. Let' hope we have prevented anything like this to happen again.
Much Aloha

Rodman
I have been a supporter of the Humane Society for years both financially and publically, but I have to say that they way that this situation was handled was so disappointing. I would say that the only person who was the best was the MHS vet, Dr. Kim. She handled the situation perfectly and professionally. But she has always been one of the best. The animals and the Humane Society are very lucky to have her. But the way the administration handled the whole situation to do the right thing was not something to be desired. It was clear that the best interest of the animal was not at hand. Finally when they sent the officers to pick up the dog to be evaluated, and I told officer Green about his condition and what I thought, she just said "are you a vet"? Just not okay.
I called the Boo Boo Zoo about the situation and they couldn't believe it and gave some good advice. So, it finally worked out and Rodman is now gone and is not suffering and I am so happy about that.
So, think a happy thought for Rodman.

Foxy is happy...Mimi and Koa are here
Today Mimi and Koa arrived. We gave them their usually super dip. Lahaina has flea and tick issues, so everytime their owner drops them off...part of the routine is straight to the dip tank. As soon as Mimi and Koa saw the dip tank, they new what was going to happen next. They had a look of "oh no, not again". But, afterwards when they dried off they went to the play area where Foxy was anxiously waiting to meet the new arrivals. They all hit it off very well. Mimi is taking it easy as she has a bit of a hurt leg. So, this is her little vacation too. But, Foxy and Koa kept playing and playing. I think Koa thought Foxy was cute and developed a crush on her. I guess that is why she is "Foxy".

Bye bye Ellie
Tomorrow our ole fella Rodman will be leaving us. He is such a Teddy Bear. I am sure he will be happy to see him mom soon. It's different for most older dogs his age to be away from their owners. Just like humans...they get creaky and don't want to be bothered by the younger ones. =0) . But, he definitely loves his spot he claimed under the Pine tree, enjoying the cool breeze blowing threw his thick chow hair.

Have to say that Sprinkles and Buttons have come along way during their extended visit. They are learning commands, and we will slowly be introducing them to socialization with others. They actually smile all the time. Buttons just bouces all over the place. Sprinkles has built a very good relationship with Barry. It will definitely be hard to see them go in a few days, as they will have been here for 70 days. (heavy sigh).

More dog news
Foxy had a lot of fun with Kona, but found a new friend in another guest that we have since Kona left. Foxy likes to run and around and play with Ellie. Ellie looks like a little stuffed animal. She only here until Thursday.
We also have an old fella, Rodman. I think I did put that in the blog earlier. But, he just likes to lay under the pine tree. We gave Rodman a nail trim. He didn't care for it too much, but now he has nicely trim nails. They were pretty long.
Nothing else too exciting...it's just another doggy dog day. Playtime, mealtime, and bathtimes.
